Elliðaárdalur valley is located in the heart of Reykjavík. It's a real hidden gem, a peaceful recreation area that not many visitors have heard about. There is a beautiful river called Elliðaá that runs through the valley with several tiny waterfalls. The river is also a known fishing river with a remarkable number of Arctic char, salmon and brown trout (license is needed for fishing here).
