Description
Elves are very important creatures here in Iceland. They not only get to decide where roads can go but also where houses can be built. They are greatly respected as a part of the culture here in Iceland. On this tour we see some places populated by these special creatures.
These are the “hidden people” though so unfortunately we will not actually meet them! We pass the small cleft Alfakví and the old sheep’s house. A special site that, if disturbed, carries some serious consequences.
Some elves are known to be musical. We will visit Skjólklettur, the place of the elves’ church, where there have been many reports that you can hear singing.
On our way to the elfin hill, Einbui, populated by friendly and sometimes singing elves, we also experience excellent riding trails for trying the special, smooth gait of the Icelandic horse, “tölt”.
We strive to combine pleasure, comfort and adventure. It is important to us to respect and protect nature in all our endeavors. We emphasise personal service, safety and an environmentally friendly operation.
