Join us for this fantastic combo tour that adds together two of the most popular activities Iceland has to offer. By day go horseback riding on the highly unique Icelandic Horse and in the evening set out by boat to hunt for the elusive aurora borealis!

This tour is a perfect combo of some of the greatest things that Iceland is known for, it mixes the thrill of riding the Icelandic horse through the dramatic landscape of lava fields and beautiful green hillsides with the excitement that is hunting for the northern lights.

Not only that though, but your northern lights hunt will be going out from the Reykjavik's old harbour by boat!

Since this tour is a combo pick up for the horseback riding portion is included in your price! (just let us know where to come and get you from). Pick up for the Northern Lights portion is not included but you have the choice of paying extra for pick up or simply meeting us down at the old harbour.

On both trips you will be joined by experienced guides who will be happy to assist you in any way they can to ensure you have the smoothest experience possible!

Northern Lights

The Aurora Borealis, or the Northern Lights, are a natural phenomena typically seen on a dark but clear skied night. Green, purple, pink and white lights dance on the horizon frequently changing their shape and colour. It is perhaps nature's most fascinating displays of artistry!

Icelandic Horse

People from around the world love coming to Iceland to meet the Icelandic horse. They are very unique animals too, capable of an additional gait known as the "tölt".

They are quite small, very fluffy but most importantly very friendly and reliable and great for both beginners and experts to ride!

Important information:

Pick-up can take up to 30 minutes. Please be ready at your pick up point with your voucher, either in digital or printed form. (if pick up is required)

Dress appropriately for the weather baring in mind that you will be out late at night so the temperatures can drop quite low. Further into winter you should also expect the possibility of snow or Ice so it’s important to wear sturdy shoes.

The horse riding tour will be picking you up by bus for a short ride out of the city while the Northern Lights tour will take place on one of our magnificent sightseeing boats.

This tour is 6 hours long including travel time and the time you spend on location.

The ability for us to run this trip depends on weather conditions on the night.
