Most northern lights tours will head out into the countryside looking for gaps in the clouds, we like to offer something a little bit different. We will be sailing out from the Reykjavik harbour to hunt for the Northern Lights. You will be joined by experienced northern lights guides who will have loads of information to share with you.
When we reach our destination of choice You will have plenty of time to take some photographs, If you are struggling then your guide should be able to help you setup your camera. Warm overalls will be available on board or you will be able to sit inside our heated cabin.
There are 3 outdoor viewing platforms and a large indoor saloon. Those who want to visit the captain are welcome to do so.
The amazing natural phenomenon that occurs in the upper atmosphere when charged particles from the sun collide with the magnetic layer around the planet. Best viewed between 10PM and 2AM on a clear night! Also known as the Aurora or the Aurora Borealis
