On this tour, you will explore crystal ice cave in Mýrdalsjökull the fourth largest glacier in Iceland. Ice caves can be found during wintertime and only accessible when the temperature is low and/or all of the surroundings is frozen.
We recommend you bring your warmest clothes, gloves, hat, and camera but hiking shoes or snow boots are essential. We provide all the speciality equipment needed.
Mýrdalsjökull is the fourth largest glacier in Iceland and it sits on top of the Katla volcano which is sister to the infamous Eyjafjallajökull. The glacier covers an area of around 600 kilometres squared and its highest peak sits at about 1500 meters tall.
Important information:
Dress appropriately for the weather, bring your warmest clothes, gloves, hat. Hiking shoes or snow boots are essential.
You will be traveling in a super jeep that holds approximately 10 people but is very spacious and comfortable. There is not a bathroom on the bus but there will be plenty of stops where facilities can be used.
This tour is 4 hours long. You will receive plenty of time to enjoy the sights and snap some photos.
