This is a “meet on location” tour in which you will be meeting with the guides at the Gullfoss waterfall carpark. you can climb aboard your transfer up to Langjökull glacier base. The drive to there alone is an adventure!
Once you are at the base, you will be geared up for 1 hour of adrenaline inducing snowmobiling.

Gullfoss
Gullfoss, or the golden falls, is a huge waterfall that drops a staggering 32 meters over two stages. It is fed from the white river which originates from Iceland’s 2nd biggest glacier. More than just a pretty site though Gullfoss also has an amazing history that involves foreign investors trying to harness its power and one young girl's amazing efforts to preserve the nature.
Langjökull
Langjökull, or the “long glacier” is the second largest icecap in Iceland. It is also the closest glacier to the city of reykjavik and sits at 4,000 ft (1,200 m) above sea level and its melt waters travel through subterranean streams to feed Lake Þingvallavatn
Important information:
Please remember this is a “Meet on location” tour in which you will need to be at the destination around 20 minutes before the scheduled departure. Please have your ticket ready either in printed or digital form.
Dress appropriately for the weather baring in mind that the glacier can get very cold, so layers are recommended.
You will be traveling in a super jeep/truck for the transfer up to the Glacier.
This tour is 4 hours long including travel time and the time you spend at location.
Lunch is not included, but there will be plenty of opportunity to buy food.
A standard booking is for 2 people sharing 1 snowmobile. If you wish to have a solo snowmobile or your group is an odd number please select the single rider addition on the following page
A valid driver's license is required to operate a snowmobile.
