On the south-east corner of the country, you will find a lovely town called Höfn, which means harbour! At Höfn you can get the best lobster (langoustine) in the country! They do great lobster soup, grilled lobster and amazing lobster sandwiches that will blow your mind! You can now stay at the campsite there all year round, they have great facilities there and you can walk to all the places from there. One of the best things about Höfn, apart from the lobster, is also the view! The town is surrounded by glaciers and mountains and an amazing view of the Atlantic sea.

Surrounded by history, this is the place where great Icelandic Saga's took place! Also the author of many of the Saga's lived there! Translated into English, this place is called 'The Valleys'. When you drive through it you are surrounded by mountains, grass, tiny waterfalls and rock formations that old stories say were trolls! I think it's the most serene place in the whole country. During the summer, in August, you can go and pick crowberries and blueberries and whole year round you can sometimes even spot arctic foxes!

Want the proper Iceland experience with glaciers and volcanoes? Then this is the place for you! Can sometimes be hard to go there because of weather conditions and also the river there, but it is worth it! Want to make everyone at home jealous with amazing looking pictures? This is the place!
Thórsmörk, Iceland
One thing that is quite iconic for Iceland is its' black sand/rock beaches. However, we do have some red sand beaches! Rauðisandur Beach is my favourite one! Located in the Westfjords, Rauðisandur is a generally stunning setting. Surrounded by black tall mountains, the yellow/red sand contrasts beautifully with the Atlantic ocean. There is also a great café there and a campsite!

I'm born and raised in this neighbourhood of Reykjavík so of course, it's my favourite! It's a giant park in the city, where you can find a great swimming pool, a gym, our national football station and our zoo! But apart from those things, you will also find a great place to walk, be surrounded by nature and see new things! One of my favourite places to go to in Laugardalur is to see the park gets its' name, the Laugar. It's a monument that shows where women used to wash their clothes 100 years ago or less! And only 50meters away is a stunning botanical garden, where you will find a great café, Flóra!
